summer time.... sweet summer time...

It has been a long time since we've posted! JJ has been busy enjoying the summer with mommy and daddy. He had his first camping experience in June, the camper, outdoors and the boat! He even swam in the cold lake! He didn't care much for the heat and his life jacket on the boat ride... but on the way in we went a little faster and he liked that! We think he will enjoy rollarcoasters and speed when he is older. He loves when he hold him up in the air and bring him down fast! He also enjoys swimming with mom and dad or with his little friends. He will be 6 months old on July 20th already, he is around 20 lbs and is so long! Such a big boy, and so HAPPY! He screams with excitment all the time and loves to giggle!

Big changes will be happening for us this fall! Katie is returning to school full time on August 22nd, but just online classes. It's going by be hard having 3 full time jobs (work, school, and mommy!), but if has to get done now before we add on to our family! Jeremy will be returning to school spring semester at UMC for a natural resources degree. We are hoping that the job hunt by the time he is done will be more in our favor. We figure there isn't anything happening after 2 years so what will it hurt to add another degree!? It will be different for us, but hoping that it's the right choice for our family! We are on the waiting list to move into new townhomes in East Grand Forks, very excited to get into a place we can call "home" for a few years! Other then that we are just enjoying all the time we have as a family! Can't wait to get to Canada in August for 6 days!

Hope everyone is doing well and enjoying summer shine and summer time!

4 months old!

Can you believe it!? We can't! He weighs just over 16 lbs and is 25 inches long. He had his first meal of rice cereal but didn't understand the concept of a spoon... but it was entertaining for us! Here are some pics!

Mother's Day 2011

Thank You God

© Shirley J. Stankiewicz

Sent straight from heaven up above
Came an angel for me to love
To hold and rock and kiss good night
To wrap my arms around real tight

To cuddle & nurture and watch him play
To kiss his boo-boo's all away
To keep him safe and warm & count all his toes
To hold the tissue for him when he blows his little nose

To laugh at his jokes, to clap as he sings
To tell him all the joy in my life that he brings
To clean up his play dough, to pull his legos apart
To pin up his drawings and tell him it's art

To watch his first day of school on the bus all alone
To fight back the tears as I make my way back home
To applaud real loud when he's in his first play
To help him with his homework at the end of his day

To adore & cherish and watch him grow
To guide and teach him all that I know
To see him through good times & help him through bad
To share in his happiness and cry when he's sad

To hold him close and be by his side
To watch him through life as my heart fills with pride
To help him with decisions, the best that I can
To know that someday he'll be a fine young man

I will forever be thankful for little Jeremy, he has blessed our lives in ways that aren't even comprehensible. We love him so much. I am so honored to be him mommy!!!

Latest happenings

We really need to update posts more often! It's almost been a month already. We have celebrated Jeremy's 24th birthday and little Jeremy's first Easter. JJ is growing so fast! He has had his first cold, gone on his first long car ride, and had his first sleepover at someone else's house (with mom and dad). He has rolled over from his belly to back twice, but hasn't done it for dad yet! We drove to Aitkin this past weekend and JJ met his great-great grandma! It was a fun time with family but he sure was tired when we got home on Sunday! We came home to snow on the ground on mayday... it melted right away! Easter was a great day with family and 2 ham dinners! JJ looked so handsome!!!
Here are some recent pics... hope everyone is doing well and enjoying spring!!!

Growing boy!

JJ just had his 2 month check up on monday... he is 14 lb 0.1 ounces, and 24 inches long... 2 feet! I can't believe how fast he is growing! He didn't like his shots at all, but mommy and daddy made it all better within about 5 minutes! Now that he has had his first set of vaccines we feel comfortable bringing him to drop in daycare at the Y when we work out... maybe we will try that tomorrow! Here are some pics and a couple videos... he sure does like to hear people sing! He watches American Idol with mom every week!

Lots of love from all of us!

All Smiles!

Little Jeremy talking to mommy and grandma Doris today... right after this he made the biggest frown ever and was pouting. Rough life.
